Level 2 chargers, Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint, JuiceBox, Wallbox, Grizzl-E. We do the load calc on your existing service, run the conduit, mount the unit, and book the inspector. Permitted and inspected. No corners.
Most EV charger installs are straightforward, but a few things have to go right. The breaker has to be sized for the unit. The wire has to be rated for the run and the current. The service panel has to have the capacity. And the inspection has to be passed before the unit gets energized.
We do all of that. We start with a service capacity load calculation, that tells us whether your existing 100A or 200A service can handle the new load, or whether you need a panel upgrade first. Then we run the conduit (interior, through the wall, or exterior surface mount), pull wire to the manufacturer spec, install the dedicated breaker, mount the unit, and commission it. The whole thing is permitted with the City of Edmonton and inspected on completion. If you want a NEMA 14-50 receptacle instead of a hardwired unit, we do those too.
You just took delivery of an EV (or you're about to) and you want a real charger, not a slow Level 1 trickle. You're moving into a place with no charger but you want one mounted before move-in. You're not sure if your existing service can carry one. You're switching from a NEMA 14-50 plug-in to a hardwired install. You're a small business adding charging stalls for staff or customers.
We won't undersize the breaker or the wire to save money, chargers run at full load for hours and the install has to handle that. We won't skip the load calc. We won't recommend a panel upgrade you don't need. And we won't install a charger without a permit, even if you're tempted to skip it.
We come look at the panel, the proposed mount location, and the run between them. We do a load calc on the existing service.
Within 24 hours. Includes charger (if we're sourcing), wire, breaker, conduit, permit, labor, inspection.
We pull the permit. Most installs are scheduled within a week or two.
Mount, run, terminate, breaker in, commission. Inspector signs off. You get the paperwork.
